I was standing at preschool drop-off watching every other parent have a little goodbye conversation with their kid, and I realized we had never had that. Not even close.

For years I was that mom. The one being told "boys develop slower" and "you're overthinking it." I almost believed them. Then I watched a teacher hold my screaming son while she told me to just go, and I was done. I called for his autism assessment days later.

There was no roadmap for navigating autism in BC. No clear answer on funding, the DTC, or where to even start. So I built one.
